Pinocchio and His Growing Nose

One day, Pinocchio told a lie. Suddenly, something strange happened to his face. His nose began to grow longer and longer!

His eye grew wide with surprise, and his ear could hear people laughing at him. He opened his mouth to explain, but every time he lied, his nose grew even more.

他的眼睛惊讶地睁得大大的，他的耳朵能听见大家在笑话他。他张开嘴想解释，可是每撒一次谎，鼻子就变得更长。

Pinocchio touched his long nose with his hand and felt embarrassed. He learned that honesty was important. From that day, he tried hard to always tell the truth, so his face could stay normal, and his nose would never grow again.
