The Sun and the Moon: A Sky Family

High in the sky lived a family. The sun was the big brother. Every morning he woke up and gave warm light to the world below.

His little sister was the moon. Every night, she came out with a soft, silver light. When the sun was awake, the moon would sleep. When the moon came out, the sun would rest quietly.

People on Earth looked up and smiled. They felt happy, because day always followed night, and night always followed day. The sun and the moon loved their family, and together they kept the sky beautiful, every single day and night.
